--- SMALL CATEGORY (Less than $100M in annual revenue or budget) ---

Creative Good CEO Phil Terry said, "Like the misguided early notion - debunked by Copernicus - that the universe revolves around the earth, many businesses today still think that they, not their customers, are at the center of the business universe. The Copernican Awards recognize companies that put customers first. Customer experience will be as important in the 21st century as advertising was in the 20th century."

Creative Good selected the 2008 Copernican Award finalists from nominations put forward by the executive members of The Councils: executive forums, run by Creative Good, of 400 senior decision makers in marketing, product management, and customer experience across a range of industries.

A ballot was then sent to the executive council members. Members voted, selecting finalists in each of the three categories. Finalist companies then completed a questionnaire about their customer-centric business practices.

One Copernican Award winner will be named in each of the three categories above, based on a vote of the Customer Experience Council members. The 2008 Copernican Award winners will be announced at the Rainbow Room in New York City on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Past years' winners include JetBlue, Netfix, Google, and TiVo.
